Week one is officially complete! We’ll be taking this weekend to visit Quang Ngai and see a few significant sites, including the My Lai Massacre Memorial. There will also be some much needed naps. Be looking out this weekend for some posts from the different work sites as they talk about their specific projects and what they did this week. Until then, here’s a video from the welcome party the Student Union hosted for us on our first night. But first, for context, in Vietnam people love karaoke and performing. So, we were asked to put together some songs and dances of our own. And everyone did so well! They all picked out the songs they wanted to do and put together the dances themselves. In total they performed three different songs and there were a couple of students who even performed some karaoke. Here’s just a taste of how the evening went:
